HOW DID YOU BEGIN YOUR YOGA PRACTICE?
I began taking classes at a gym due to injuries from being a longtime hairstylist, thinking the stretching would help me. It was years later when I realized the true meaning of yoga and the full benefits you receive from the practice. As a student and a teacher, I am still learning, growing and discovering new things about myself.
WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA?
I love how it makes me feel when I stop on the mat. It is a feeling of coming home. Yoga practice has become a necessity; noticing the benefits of breath and meditation help keep me calmer and more even. The postures help keep me strong, focused and balanced. It’s a time for yourself to turn off and just be present.

To share and spread my knowledge and love of yoga. There is a yoga class to fit every lifestyle; you have to find the one that speaks to you.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO WITH YOUR TIME?
I am a part time hair stylist. I love being in nature- hiking, water skiing, boating, and traveling with my husband. I love spending time with my family and great friends.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE YOGA POSE AND WHY?
Vrksasana, tree pose- it makes me feel rooted and lifted at the same time. Reaching for growth and openness, and grounded by mother nature.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASSES?
My classes are safe, friendly, gentle and alignment based. I am here to guide you, but it is your practice- I encourage my students to listen to their bodies and minds.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO TELL YOUR STUDENTS?
Have fun in your practice! Laugh, cry, breath, and explore! Keep growing and learning new things about yourself- where there is love, there is light!
